Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and kitchen equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, pools, fitness center, and back-of-house equipment.
- Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance work orders in a professional and timely manner.
- Repair and maintain lighting outlets, switches, appliances, locks, doors, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and furniture.
- Inspect hotel property regularly to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and needed repairs.
- Aid with special projects and room upgrades as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, fire safety regulations, building codes, and hotel brand standards.
- Support other maintenance staff by sharing technical knowledge and assisting with complex repairs.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or trade school training is preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in hotel, facilities, or commercial maintenance is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry is required.
- EPA certification, HVAC certification, or other trade licenses are preferred.
- The ability to read equipment manuals is necessary.
- The ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is essential for interacting with guests and team members.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
- The ability to work flexible schedules, including afternoon shift, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
- The ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift to 50 pounds regularly is required.
- The ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions is necessary.
