Maintenance Tech - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Maintains all equipment and facilities.
• Performs all PM checks and procedures as scheduled.
• Affixes to all Multimatic New Haven Safety practices, policies & procedures.
• Machine diagnostics/trouble-shooting & repair.
• Machine installation & set up procedures.
• Welding & fabrication as needed.
• Preventative maintenance (PM’s) procedures related to all manufacturing equipment.
• Completes and turns in all maintenance related documentation including but not limited to daily log sheets for TPM’s and all required Control Plans and Downtime logs.
• Covers with other resources (Supervisors/Managers) time, material and equipment required to perform necessary work as needed.
• Self-driven; with minimal supervision.
• Affixes all hands tools to perform the job.

• Education and/or Experience: Associate degree in a technical field and/or other related formal course work or equivalent years of experience in this or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• 1 - 3 years’ experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical & welding.
• Excellent trouble-shooting/problem solving skills & experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and seal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• The associate may need to be available during off hours if needed and assist in emergency situations.
• The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed.
