Job Duties

  • Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties.
  • This includes areas of heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs.
  • Recommending replacement or repair, as necessary.
  • Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving our residents homes.
  • Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours.
  • This may include coordinating the work of other staff or vendors.
  • Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or maintenance team members as appropriate.
  • Complete and document daily building inspections with the focus on proactive maintenance.
  • Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.

Requirements

  • A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
  • Equivalent education with one to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance and clean driving record for past 3 years.
  • Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance repairs.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Pride in seeing a job through completion.
  • Ability to work with others to train and pass on knowledge.
  • Enjoy interacting with residents while performing maintenance duties.

Pay

Starting pay $23 per hour (and more based on experience!). Potential to earn up to $5.21 more per hour with incentives.
