About the role

Carpenter Technology Corporation is a leading producer and distributor of premium specialty alloys, including titanium alloys, nickel and cobalt based superalloys, stainless steels, alloy steels and tool steels. The Maintenance Coordinator owns the administrative and information management processes that support the Maintenance department. Under minimal supervision, this role is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and integrity of maintenance data, reports, and documentation used for operational decision making, compliance, and performance management. This person serves as the single point of accountability for ensuring maintenance-related information is reliable, standardized, and aligned with departmental objectives.

Must be able to work in a production-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the administrative processes that support the maintenance department with accountability for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of maintenance data.
  • Ensures that all presentations and reports accurately reflect validated maintenance information used for operational and leadership decision making.
  • Accountable for the integrity, accuracy, and end-to-end management of maintenance work orders and related documentation within the work order system.
  • Serves as the single point of accountability for maintenance reporting accuracy, revisions, and data governance.
  • Owns the distribution of maintenance schedules and work orders, ensuring alignment with approved plans and execution priorities.
  • Coordinates material and MRO requisitions with accountability for accuracy, proper documentation, and alignment to maintenance needs.
  • Ensures material flow and documentation to meet maintenance schedules.
  • Partners with maintenance department management to validate progress, communicate changes, and ensure systems reflect current operating needs.
  • Accountable for ensuring all maintenance data meets established standards for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to use or reporting.
  • Validates calculated labor, material, and performance metrics before distribution or decision making.
  • Ensures that status reports are based on verified and consistent data.
  • Owns documentation related to personnel schedules, maintenance, and repair records.
  • Maintains maintenance and cost records to support audits, reporting, and long-term reliability initiatives.
  • Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years administrative background, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, scheduling software, or databases.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Self-directed, strong organizational skills, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on several activities on a daily basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of team members, both verbal and written.
