Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift

This role involves supervisory responsibilities, technical maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• PLC and HMI maintenance & troubleshooting (including Ladder logic)
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic leaks and perform preventive maintenance (PMs)
• Read and interpret advanced electrical and blueprint schematics
• Troubleshoot integrated circuits and wire control circuits for 5, 12, 24, and 120 volts
• Design advanced pneumatic circuits
• Perform advanced welding using various tools
• Operate basic shop tools (hand tools, drills, lathes, milling machines)
• Operate bridge & rail cranes, perform drilling/tapping, and cut/thread pipes
• Troubleshoot and repair basic pneumatic systems
• Maintain building systems (lighting, compressors, emergency lighting)
• Bend conduit and pull wire
• Install and set up motor contractors and VFDS
• Ensure employee compliance with safety guidelines and intervene to correct unsafe actions
• Conduct daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices
• Report all accidents, including first aid incidents
• Oversee hourly employee timecards, including overtime and vacation approvals
• Size motor starters and overloads for applications
• Maintain machine functionality
• Complete employee development plans and motivate team members
• Schedule, coordinate, and direct maintenance and construction work
• Inspect work for proper workmanship, materials, and compliance with safety regulations
• Meet with senior management to provide monthly budgets and project status updates
• Conduct regular team meetings, set objectives, and monitor progress
• Perform employee performance reviews and make promotion/salary recommendations

Requirements

• Technical School education in Engineering, Technical Engineering, or similar
• 3-5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
• 1-3 years of experience within the automotive industry
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants
• Ability to work in confined spaces, climb, and lift as required
• Knowledge of Timer’s & Counter theory, Electronics’ theory, Encoders/decoders theory, OHM’s Law, and Hydraulics theory & functionality
• Overhead crane experience (Certification required)
• Internal customer service orientation
• Passion for excellence and attention to detail
• Team-oriented with excellent math skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience (Certification required)
• TS 16949 awareness
• ISO 14001 orientation / awareness training
