Maintenance Specialist
Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following and promoting all applicable safety policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and facility equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Read, create, and update equipment documentation including design drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
- Ensure equipment is installed in accordance with facility standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment including CNC machines, compressors, electrical control panels, and custom automation equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems up to 480V
- Monitor equipment performance and proactively identify and resolve reliability issues
- Lead equipment reliability and continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Facilities, and Operations teams to prioritize and execute equipment improvement initiatives
- Coordinate third-party vendors performing preventive maintenance, repairs, technical support, and spare parts management
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and service history
- Support equipment commissioning, installation, and startup activities as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent industry experience
- 6+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or supporting automated manufacturing equipment
- Strong understanding of industrial automation systems including PLC-controlled equipment, with Siemens PLC experience preferred
- Experience working with SCADA systems and industrial control systems preferred
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V
- Experience maintaining equipment utility connections including electrical power, compressed gases, process water, and data systems
- Experience maintaining CNC machines, machining centers, chip conveyor systems, workholding equipment, or similar manufacturing equipment
- Hands-on experience with sensors, vision systems, motors, pumps, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other industrial automation components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
- Experience coordinating with equipment vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities
- Experience supporting hydrogen, semiconductor, battery, or other advanced manufacturing facilities is a plus

Compensation and Benefits | S3 MA Zone MA Zone $33.15—$39 USD Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
