Responsibilities
- Perform custodial duties, minor repairs, and assist with the receiving of materials and products within the warehouse/yard.
- Clean warehouse to meet company standards; remove refuse from warehouse and yard.
- Operate forklift, banding machine, and radial arm saw.
- Pick up banding, stickers, and empty pallets from warehouse/yard.
- Repair damaged pallets, prepare flatcars for removal from the yard, and move product to assigned area.
- Report the need for repairs and/or safety problems to the operations manager.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to understand and communicate safety and other work related instructions.
- Able to follow instructions, drive forklift, and may occasionally operate a banding machine and radial arm saw.
- Preferred Qualifications: Typically more than three (3) years of experience in related job function.
