Maintenance Services I - Cleaner

About the role

The Maintenance Services I - Cleaner performs general housekeeping and janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning various areas of the university.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other university facilities.
• Stock supplies and perform special projects.
• Operate various types of cleaning equipment and transport materials.
• Support special events, projects, and conferences with setup/tear-down of area.
• Communicate with all levels of University personnel and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Think quickly and adapt to rapidly changing situations.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Housekeeping and/or previous cleaning experience is preferred.
• Appropriate Child Protective Clearances (CPC) will be required.
• The Maintenance Services I - Cleaner must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds including equipment and supplies.
• The Maintenance Services I - Cleaner may be exposed to human bodily fluids, cleaning chemicals, and/or applicable chemicals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

On-Campus: Teams that work on campus, in an office, or in a lab. Sunday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; Monday - Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
