Responsible for

  • Performs building inspections, replacing parts, cleaning, and overseeing heating and plumbing, outdoor grounds & landscaping, and snow & ice removal.
  • Performs basic carpentry and maintenance work for the facility and fixtures including but not limited to, painting and preparation work, remodeling projects, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Performs and completes routine repair and maintenance on machines and/or equipment including, but not limited to, beds, wheelchairs, kitchen equipment, furniture, office equipment, or other related mechanical devices on a scheduled basis or as requested.
  • Maintains records of all state and OSHA regulations as well as medical waste records.
  • Responds to facility emergency codes and demonstrates sound understanding of emergency protocols.
  • Assists with, conducts, and documents drills such as fire, emergency weather, etc., participates in safety inspections and lockdown procedures.
  • Informs leadership of safety concerns and makes recommendations regarding facility safety issues.
  • Insures proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety policies and procedures.
  • Removes equipment, trash and hazardous waste material according to local, state, federal, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintains records of all state and OSHA regulations as well as medical waste records.

  • The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
