About the Role
A Maintenance Sales Associate is responsible for developing relationships that result in the sale of maintenance contracts with existing and new clients across all vertical markets EMCOR/Mesa serves or may pursue. The role focuses on cultivating new client relationships, educating clients about maintenance opportunities, repairs, replacements, services, and energy-efficiency packages, and selling Mesa’s products and services to maximize sales potential within each account.
Responsibilities
- Align with EMCOR Mesa’s sales philosophy, processes, and procedures.
- Prospect for new accounts through phone solicitation, personal visits, conferences, internet research, and leveraging existing relationships.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Business Development, Director of Sales, Branch Manager, and other team members to review and improve account programs and processes to meet sales objectives.
- Analyze and develop solution-based programs to drive sales growth, volume, and client profitability in the local market.
- Identify customer needs and present Mesa’s solutions.
- Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations, including financial and technical sections using standard templates and pricing models.
- Achieve sales at defined margin levels to increase market share while ensuring profitability.
- Interact professionally with team members across departments (Operations, Chiller teams, Project Management, etc.).
- Commit to personal and professional growth through product and sales training.
- Meet or exceed annual sales plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC commercial, chiller, or maintenance service sales.
- Strong customer presentation skills and demonstrated sales aptitude.
- Financial acumen, including cost modeling for sales proposals.
- Experience developing technical and cost proposals.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, with strong Excel skills.
- Valid driver’s license, meeting MVR requirements, and access to an operating vehicle for business use.
- Ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods and work at heights (e.g., climbing stairs or ladders).
Pay
Compensation range: $70,304 - $110,000 per year.
