Description of Work
- Carpentry Tasks: Install ceilings, flooring, doors, insulation, and structural features
- Plumbing Work: Install and repair toilets, faucets, sinks, pipes, valves, and seals
- Painting Duties: Prepare surfaces, mix paint, and complete interior and exterior painting projects
- Electrical Repairs: Replace switches, outlets, ballasts, and bulbs, and run wire or conduit when needed
- Grounds Care: Cut grass, remove snow, trim shrubs, plant flowers, and keep outdoor areas clear of debris
- Equipment Maintenance: Care for tools and machinery through cleaning, adjustments, and preventive repairs
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- Special Requirement: You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
- Additional Requirements: You must maintain favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
