About the role
This position supports the maintenance and repair of the Delaware Valley Veterans' Home, ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Painting Work: Prepare surfaces and complete interior and exterior painting throughout the facility
- Plumbing Repairs: Install and fix sinks, valves, heaters, and various pipe systems
- Carpentry Skills: Remodel rooms, hang drywall, repair doors, replace windows, and complete finish tasks
- Electrical Tasks: Install circuits, lighting, switches, and maintain fire and security systems
- Concrete Masonry: Mix and pour concrete, lay block and brick, and repair masonry surfaces
- System Servicing: Maintain heating and cooling units, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and automated building controls
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years of related experience
- Special Requirement: Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
- Additional Requirement: Ability to perform essential job functions
Benefits
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
- Travel as needed
- No Telework Option
