Maintenance & Repair Worker

Duties And Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to facilities staff with needed maintenance, services, and repairs in various trades to include mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
• Operates power hand tools and instruments.
• Maintains adequate supply of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Cleans roofs, mechanical spaces, trucks, and trades shops.
• Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of campus equipment and buildings.
• Notifies Maintenance Supervisor or Power Plant Department of any equipment shutdowns.
• Responds to after-hour emergency calls, overtime hours as required.
• Affords assistance with other maintenance areas and in other work areas as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Director.
• Communicates and reports maintenance issues as required for efficient and safe resolution.
• Performs related tasks assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Director.
• Operates all industrial lifts, light automotive equipment, motorized equipment, pickup trucks, forklifts, automobiles, and blowers, loads and unloads and delivers supplies, travels to other locations to transport equipment and materials.
• Operates 2 and 3 ton bucket trucks.

Education And Experience

• Required Education and Experience at Hire: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related maintenance and repair experience.
• Prior experience operating equipment.

Full Time – Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Salary Range

Grade 5, $16.11 - $21.18 hourly
