About the role
The AIM implementation/revitalization “Breaking the reactive cycle” is a change process with a substantial impact on the manufacturing of cement and all related departments. The success of the project is directly related to the effort and commitment of the client to support the change process actively. The Task Force as part of the AIM project organization is one essential condition to achieve the project targets, supporting and coaching in the implementation of the systems and laying a solid foundation for continuous improvement once the project is completed.
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Performs all duties in a safety conscious manner and is proactive in contributing to a safety culture.
- Supports the Project team members in the detail elaboration of the SIS (System Implementation Schedule).
- Promotes the sense of urgency in words and deeds.
- Establishes constant and transparent communication with all the stakeholders.
- Works and collaborates closely with the team members ensuring timely implementation of the activities of the SIS.
- Communicates any deviation or symptom of constraint to the Task Force leader to correct the situation before it becomes a problem.
- Provides effective coaching to supervisors and managers in the practical implementation of actions following maintenance processes standards.
- Documents the processes and terms of reference to create the Maintenance & Production manual of the plant.
- Motivates the team members to keep the momentum of the project during its entire implementation.
- Understands the elements and processes, coaches the usage, communicates, and gives feedback to the Task Force leader and AIM specialist.
- Assists in the effective installation of all changes, monitoring the implementation of the activities according to the SIS.
- Coaches supervisors and managers in the practical implementation of actions following maintenance process standards.
- Provides hands-on training on a daily basis, detects needs of training and organizes with the Task Force leader and AIM Specialist the workshops to close the gaps.
- Participates in the execution of RCA sessions.
- Provides technical expertise in the fields of, preventive programs, inspection, planning, scheduling, and spare parts management.
- Clarifies plant needs regarding the technical expertise required for maintenance processes and communicates to the Task Force leader the additional needs.
- Supports preparation of meetings and presentations.
- Creates together with other team members, the weekly report.
- Supports the AIM team during the implementation.
- Understands the MAC approach and how change behavior is achieved.
- Ensures sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Field of Study Preferred: Maintenance Engineering or related discipline
- Required Work Experience: 1 to 3 years in plant maintenance position in a heavy industry, preferably in the area of management systems, quality systems, project management
- Required Training/Certifications: Knowledge, training, or experience in Lean manufacturing highly desired. Project management is desirable
- Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS (Maximo and SAP PM)
