Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Create detailed work orders with required labor, tools, and materials.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production, technicians, and supervisors.
- Maintain equipment records, maintenance history, and work orders.
- Ensure parts and materials are available by working with purchasing and inventory.
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
- Track and report maintenance KPIs (downtime, work orders, costs).
- Coordinate outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout.
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability.
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and project management skills.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A technical degree or certification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
At least 3 years of maintenance planning or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
