About the role
We are seeking a professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling of maintenance, repair, and construction work to ensure 24/7 operation of the chemical manufacturing process. This position will also serve as a backup to the maintenance supervisor at various times throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting operations problems
- Order repair parts
- Manage the work order backlog
- Perform long-range and short-term planning of in-house and contractor labor
- Cost estimating
- Ensure all critical spare parts and materials are in inventory
- Execute expedited repairs efficiently
- Support and adhere to environmental, health, safety, and security principles
- Use Total Productive Maintenance techniques
- Track key performance indicators and maintain equipment histories
- Analyze cost trends
- Coordinate with procurement department, in-house and contractor labor, suppliers, and technical representatives
- Use SAP for maintenance work orders and procurement processes
- Maintain critical SAP data such as functional locations, material masters, and maintenance plans
- Plan and schedule annual turnarounds of various production plants
- Coordinate all resources for repair parts, contract labor, rental equipment, etc.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required; advanced degree preferred
- Experience with chemical plant production equipment highly preferred
- At least 3+ years related expertise using SAP PM and MM
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance systems and equipment, planning, and scheduling
- Ability to read piping & instrumentation diagrams, engineering specifications, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and vendor-supplied technical information
- SAP knowledge and understanding required. MSProject, and Avetta software preferred
- Possess a good working knowledge of all crafts and a solid understanding of MPI
- Deal effectively with the unknown and unexpected
Qualifications
- Expertise in multiple crafts (mechanical, I/E, scaffolding, rigging, excavation)
- Good working knowledge of all crafts and a solid understanding of MPI
- Ability to handle non-routine and emergency activities
Skills
- Knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations, ASME codes, and API codes
- Continuous improvement competency
- Effective communication and coordination skills
