Maintenance Pipefitter

Starting wage of $26.00/hour with growth potential to over $35.00/hour. Eligibility for the Short-Term Incentive program and other applicable bonuses.

About the role

Grace is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to install and maintain chemical processes, including piping, equipment, and pumps. This role involves both routine preventative maintenance and day-to-day troubleshooting to ensure efficient operations at a 24/7 manufacturing site in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. The position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and requires a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems at the facility.
• Repairing and troubleshooting chemical process equipment.
• Removing idle chemical process pipes.
• Utilize non-routine, setup, hot work, lockout tagout, and confined space permits regularly.
• Perform other site-related repair and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience working from heights.
• 2+ years of experience in a maintenance trade position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with safety procedures, such as lock out/tag out, hot work, etc.
• Experience working a rotating schedule.

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Ability to work in a high-hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, and full-face respirator.
