Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation, performs skilled work in two (2) of the maintenance trades with journey level experience. Works independently with limited supervision or as part of a crew requiring coordination with fellow workers. May be assigned special projects and direct the work of Maintenance Person I workers.

• Grounds equipment overhaul and repair
• Welding/metal fabrication
• Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)
• Sprinklers
• Office machine repairs
• Locksmithing and repairs
• Alteration and repair of facilities, occasional new construction
• Other work as required
• Irrigation experience preferred

Requirements / Qualifications

At least two (2) years of experience in two (2) or more maintenance trades at journey level.

Proof of high school graduation required.

• Relevant trade certifications or licenses (e.g., Irrigation Technician Certification, HVAC License, Electrical Journeyman card, Pool Operator Certification, etc.)

Pay

Salary pay range: $25.72 – $35.19 per hour.

Additional salary information: A maximum of three (3) years may be granted for experience outside of Beaumont USD; therefore, the maximum starting hourly rate for an external hire is $28.92 per hour.

Schedule

Length of work year: 12 months, Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Employment type: Full time.
