About the role
C&B Piping, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, enjoy working independently, and take pride in ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment as needed and all machine components.
- Diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform safety inspections and ensure equipment complies with company and OSHA standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Work independently and collaborate with the maintenance and operations team to minimize downtime and stay informed.
- Assist with installations, upgrades, modifications, and additional maintenance duties as assigned.
- Maintain good housekeeping and keep work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, industrial mechanic, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot motors, controls, drives, and heavy machinery equipment.
- Read, interpret electrical and technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through repairs/updates.
- Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Prioritize tasks and work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certificates preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and pride in workmanship.
Physical and Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Utilize equipment safely for all other tasks.
- Work in industrial environments for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors and indoors in varying temperatures.
- Work at varying heights and climb ladders safely.
