Schedule

12-hour shifts (6:45 am – 6:45 pm), 3 days on / 3 days off.

Pay

Starting rate: $27.95 – $33.85 per hour, with opportunity to earn more.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Multi-Craft Technician to join our team. This vital position involves maintaining and repairing a variety of machinery and equipment used in the production of aluminum products. You will play a key role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently, troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting routine inspections, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

Our ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial maintenance, paired with a proactive approach to safety and quality. You will work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing solutions that enhance operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, as needed.
  • Maintain documentation for existing and new equipment.
  • Keep up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts.
  • Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical problems on machinery.
  • Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine problems and make appropriate repairs.
  • Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical, communications, and process control systems.
  • Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • OR five years of related work experience.
  • Experience with industrial, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.
  • Ability to work individually or in a team situation.
  • Must be able to pass company drug screen and background check.
