Maintenance - Menzer Quarry

Responsibilities

• Services plant and equipment as needed (e.g. minor adjustments, lubrication, cutting, welding).
• Aids with maintenance repairs as needed.
• Complies with all company safety rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Oils, greases, and cleans machines and their parts.
• Inspects equipment to evaluate machine’s operational ability.
• Inspects and dismantles machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunctions and to correct the problem.
• Repairs defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
• Welds and fabricates equipment and parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge, Experience)

• Ability to cut, weld, and fabricate steel.
• Knowledge of equipment (e.g. conveyors lines, crusher, wash plant).
• Knowledge of materials and good mechanical ability.
• Ability to identify and assist in repair of mechanical malfunctions.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of crushing, screening, and hydraulics.
• Advanced mechanical skills.
• Able to manipulate tools (e.g., hand tools, power tools).
