Maintenance Mechanic Trainee
Role Responsibilities
- Completes basic repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and technical and mechanical service as required to support the site.
- Works directly with all other maintenance personnel and line supervisors as a service provider to operations and the plant.
- Provides combination of emergent, planned and preventative maintenance as well as installation and equipment upgrades.
- Communicate with all staff and hourly employees as required.
- Escalates concerns appropriately.
- Champions safe work and oversees authorization of Lock Out, Trouble Shooting, and safe work authorization.
- May provide Contractor/Vendor management and safety training or serve as an escort for required contract work.
Requirements
- Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance and is able to work non-traditional shifts and weekends if required.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to demonstrate high levels of mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and escalate to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees while following Donaldson company policies/procedures.
- Good attendance, conduct, and performance records. Successful completion of probation period at beginning of employment.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks and competing priorities.
- Basic Computer and math proficiency as well as demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Able to work in fast paced Industrialized environment with equipment including motorized vehicles, rotating equipment, manual and power hand tools and production lines.
- Able to lift/carry 25lbs frequently and 50lbs occasionally. Ability to stand for long periods and to navigate equipment repair with stooping, twisting, bending, and kneeling.
