Responsibilities
- Execute job order assignments and maintain accurate job order records.
- Perform troubleshooting to keep machinery in efficient running condition.
- Read and interpret schematics and manuals pertaining to equipment.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Perform welding and fabrication duties to service equipment.
- Service and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize machine shop tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators) to service equipment.
- Service and maintain production lines for efficient operation.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules as assigned.
- Provide on-the-job training to other maintenance team members.
- Assist team members of all levels with troubleshooting.
- Understand and practice appropriate safety procedures through education, training, and use of protective equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of inverters and proximity switches is required.
- Ability to service and troubleshoot equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic refrigeration knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
- Associate’s Degree in mechanical and/or industrial engineering is preferred.
Work Environment
Work is performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people, and conveyors. Conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.
- No domestic travel required.
- Physical requirements include continuous lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, using hands or fingers, talking, hearing, and feeling objects/tools/controls.
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete flooring for the duration of work hours.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $24.25 to $36.25 per hour. The final rate will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.
This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.
