Maintenance Mechanic - Sign On Bonus (CPP Syracuse)

About the role

Join Our Growing Team as a Maintenance Mechanic at Consolidated Precision Products & Superior Metals Manufacturing!

$1,000 Sign-On-Bonus + 5% Quarterly Bonus

Responsibilities

• Orders and maintains supplies to support all maintenance functions.
• Supports startup operations with tasks like lighting, dust collectors, air filtration systems, etc.
• Maintains and troubleshoots machine operation, diagnosing issues and repairing or replacing parts.
• Installs and repairs electronic control systems for production machinery and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machine-level control systems using programmable logic controllers.
• Performs preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Communicates with operators before and after repairs.
• Repairs and maintains physical structures of the establishment.
• Fulfills lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Adheres to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

• Education: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experienced Forklift drivers preferred.
• Language skills: Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents. Ability to speak effectively and interact with others.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to use basic gages and measuring devices.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Physical requirements: Frequent work near moving mechanical parts, repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.
