Maintenance Mechanic Rotating Shifts (D) - Pay up to $38.55 with Shift Diff

About the role

Maintain and repair machinery and equipment in a plant producing food and industrial ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle, and align machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on various types of industrial equipment.
• Handle building and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Fabricate, install, and repair utility, process, and sanitary piping and plumbing systems.
• Perform lubrication activities and use welding and cutting equipment.
• Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and other industrial moving equipment.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in chemical industry and/or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with installation and alignment of pumps, motors, gearboxes.
• Experience rebuilding industrial pumps, compressors, gearboxes, centrifuges.
• Experience with lubrication and filtration systems.
• Experience prefabbing threaded pipe and welded pipe.
• Passion for safety and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Must be available for rotating shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of welding and cutting techniques.
• Understanding of industrial machinery and equipment.

Pay

Starting pay of $35.09/hr with potential for increase based on performance and skills evaluation.

Schedule

This is a 365/24/7 operating plant requiring weekends and holidays. D-Shift rotates between 2 days 6 am-2 pm, 1 day 2 pm-10 pm, 4 days 10 pm-6 am, 2 days off, and so on, repeating every 28 days.
