MAINTENANCE MECHANIC-NIGHTS

Department: Maintenance • Shift: Nights (Sunday–Thursday, 8:30 pm–5:00 am) • Location: Cold Spring Plant • Pay: $27.95–$30.95/hour

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic assists the maintenance department with plant upkeep, ensuring equipment, property, and building repairs are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs of equipment, property, and building structures.
• Maintain clear communication with other mechanics and departments.
• Support station mechanics and operators with basic machinery and equipment functions.
• Use electrical testing equipment effectively.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement to supervisors or leads.
• Initiate and conduct routine preventative maintenance (PMs) on equipment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain shop 6S policies and cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Pass a Prove It test.
• Two years’ experience in the maintenance field preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to analyze, evaluate, and resolve mechanical issues.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience operating maintenance power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
