About the Role
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs multi-craft maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment.
- Disassembles devices, inspects parts, and replaces defective components.
- Installs wiring, conduit, and power supply for machinery and control systems.
- Uses hand tools and metalworking equipment to fabricate and repair parts.
- Starts up equipment, performs troubleshooting, and tests machinery performance.
- Works with heavy equipment, often in confined or elevated positions, following safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Maintains a clean work area and documents work orders using computer systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with experience in machine maintenance, welding, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and pipefitting.
- Ability to interpret instructions, read technical documents, and perform basic math calculations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, climb ladders, work at heights, and operate tools and machinery.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
The role involves exposure to loud machinery, varying temperatures, and potential hazards, with safety precautions required.
