About the role
As a Maintenance Mechanic in our Hospital, you will support the mission of our Hospital by optimizing the quality of life of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Performs the general inspection and repair duties to keep the physical plant in safe operating condition
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a large variety of equipment and systems under the guidance of the Plant Operations Director
- This work requires skills in a variety of trades
- Maintains proper documentation of all tests, inspections and repairs
- Works closely with agents from regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with codes and standards
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and systems/services on an on-going basis
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of a vocational school in a related field
Experience: 3-5 years of general maintenance experience in an industrial plant, building complex, healthcare/hospital setting, or for a general contractor servicing these environments
Special Qualifications: Must have a telephone, available transportation, and be able to respond to work immediately in case of an emergency. Must be available for on-call flexible shifts and long working hours in emergency situations
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have a valid State of Kansas Driver's License with no stipulations and be insurable to operate the company vehicle
