About the Division

Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, teas, and energy drinks. We lead the industry with innovative technologies that redefine beverage cans, offering a large printable surface area, diverse sizes, shapes, and decorating options to create compelling brand presence.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain equipment involved in high-speed metal packaging production, including body makers, printers, washers, spray equipment, neckers, flangers, and other machinery.
• Operate equipment and identify areas of spoilage, taking corrective action to resolve issues.
• Develop standard operating procedures and provide training for equipment operation.
• Reinforce all safety procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Associate/technical degree or related vocational/technical certification (e.g., journeyman card, technical license) preferred.
• Proven experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment rebuilds.
• Experience with controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and related tools.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
• Effective communication skills in a team environment.
• Must possess a basic set of tools.
• Ability to work twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate/technical degree or related vocational/technical certification (e.g., state electrical license, journeyman license).
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

• Primarily works in a plant environment but may perform some duties in an office setting.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
• Exposure to a wide range of temperatures.
• Frequently loud noise levels.
