MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (40 HRS/WK DAYS)

Riverside Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation across plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical systems, and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and execute necessary repairs or replacements.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, codes, and company policies.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and resolve complex issues.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools, and order additional supplies as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced maintenance staff as required.
• Assist with facility improvement projects and renovations.
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to emergencies or urgent requests.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Demonstrate flexibility with assignments within professional scope, duties, and licensure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to maintenance work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
