MAINTENANCE MECHANIC ***1ST SHIFT***

About the role

A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems before they worsen. This role involves a wide range of repair tasks around the facility to ensure safe and efficient operation of machines, appliances, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and proper use of tools, including power tools and hand tools
• Read and interpret diagrams and blueprints
• Knowledge of gearboxes, pumps, and agitator systems
• Assist in other mechanical duties as required
• Complete tasks assigned by department management
• Complete all documentation associated with assigned tasks
• Apply proper techniques for Preventive Maintenance tasks

Requirements

• Willing and able to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, kneel, and reach
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance
• Excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety, and attendance
• Strong time management skills
• Willing to learn processes from the ground up and work in a team environment
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Outgoing personality with good customer service skills
• Able to work well without supervision and within a team environment
• Positive and strong work ethic
• Flexible schedule with availability for overtime
• Able to respond to after-hours calls for breakdowns when needed
