Maintenance Mechanic 1

About The Role

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Mechanic I to provide support to one or more facilities. This position is responsible for fixing and maintaining all equipment used in the collection and processing of material.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Provide full-service preventative maintenance to Company equipment including trucks, trailer, loaders, forklifts, carts, bins debris boxes and associated equipment
• Ability to read and document paperwork for maintenance, inspections and other work orders
• Ability to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions
• Maintain an accurate log of all work performed
• Maintain a current and valid commercial driver’s license (Class B) and medical certificate
• Adhere to Company procedures, safety protocols and company policies

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Welder certification or experience preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with heavy equipment
• ASE Certification on electrical, diesel or CNG engines
• ASE Certification on preventative maintenance

Physical Demands

• Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
• Constant bending and twisting
• Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting
• Constant climbing in and out of company truck
• Work Environment
• Typical work week is Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation.
• Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, hours of work (including overtime).

Pay

$41.50 - $ 44.50
