Maintenance Manager, Reliability Maintenance and Engineering

About the role

The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team works behind the scenes to ensure Amazon's global delivery operations run smoothly. This role involves transforming workplace environments through leadership and mentoring, developing maintenance programs, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to Area Maintenance Managers and their teams
• Develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs
• Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures
• Manage capital spending plans and coordinate external contractors
• Travel domestically to support network-level initiatives and provide guidance across multiple sites

Requirements

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P)
• 4+ years of full-time exempt experience in direct leadership/supervisory roles
• 4+ years of managing department spend and labor budgets, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
• 4+ years of managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
• 4+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or 4+ years of relevant discipline work experience

Skills

Experience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards, experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, experience leading network level/multi-site maintenance organizations.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
