Maintenance Manager - Pallet Manufacturing

About the role

As a Maintenance Manager, you'll get to use your knowledge and enhance your skills while working on highly diversified machinery and facilities tasks and projects - including installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of specialized sawmill machinery and facility equipment and systems. This is a great opportunity for growth and advancement, and since it directly involves the production of our plant, this individual will be vital to our success!

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the plant maintenance team
• Develop and improve preventative maintenance programs
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of machines and equipment to minimize downtime
• Identify equipment reliability improvements
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Manage machine vendors and spare parts inventory while controlling costs
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication support as needed
• Provide support and training on all OSHA and plant safety processes and lead plant LOTO program

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge and skills
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Physical requirements

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• The noise level in the work environment depends on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision
• Must have a good sense of balance & good eye-hand-foot coordination

Pay

USD $75,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
