About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and reliable Maintenance Manager on Duty to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization. The primary responsibility is ensuring club and exercise equipment are kept clean and well-maintained. You will lead the maintenance team and support the Maintenance Manager and management team.
Responsibilities
- Extensively train all new and existing staff to Equinox standards.
- Notify the Maintenance Manager of any operational issues.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with club-related special projects (e.g., floor cleaning, high dusting, advanced equipment repair).
- Inspect and maintain all cleaning equipment used by club employees (e.g., mop pads, buckets, floor scrubbing machines, ladders, dollies, hand trucks, rags).
- Inspect and repair all club equipment daily (e.g., cardio/strength equipment, cardio theater system, climate control, overhead and studio music systems).
- Maintain full knowledge of all cleaning supplies and recommended chemicals.
- Manage inventory, restocking, and replacement of all maintenance supplies (e.g., lighting, locker room supplies, laundry supplies, maintenance chemicals, towels).
- Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Awareness of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment.
- Experience with cleaning products.
- Ability to organize work efficiently.
- Ability to service athletic equipment (when applicable).
- Proficiency with hand tools and cleaning equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication with the Maintenance Manager.
- Excellent customer service skills.
