About The Role
Novellus Living is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee and assist with the repairs, installations, and upkeep of our Barton House Memory Care Community. The main duties of this role include designing maintenance procedures, tracking budgets and expenses, and performing inspections on different facilities to find problems and make repairs.
Work Schedule/ Shift TBD, Full-Time Compensation $28-$32/hour
What You'll Do
- Being the community leader responsible for the overall integrity of the physical site
- Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
- Performing general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned, including but not limited to general installations and repairs.
- Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
- Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
- Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
- Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
- Effective communication and people management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, administration, or facility management preferred
- At least five years of maintenance experience required
