What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain a safe yet efficient work environment
- Supervise and manage personnel, including hiring, training, evaluating, assisting with work-related issues, scheduling, and conducting productivity reviews
- Maintain employee turnover and morale, and assist with corrective action plans
- Coordinate in-service of new trucks and trailers, monitor trade programs, and generate reports
- Communicate with operations personnel and respond to driver issues
- Generate and review maintenance reports, and assist with vendor issues
- Manage parts and tire inventory, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
- Diagnose and address engine management and fuel injection component problems
- Perform floor-level operations, including managing the fuel island and quality control audits
- Assist with vendor reviews and manage the shop tire scrap-out program
- Train technicians and coordinate maintenance activities at dedicated accounts
- Ensure inspections of reseated trucks and participate in accident reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in shop or working with trucks, and minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required
- Skills/Certifications: Driver’s license essential; personnel management, communication, understanding of maintenance regulations, advanced computer skills, and knowledge of DOT regulations required; annual and brake inspector certifications preferred; problem-solving and critical thinking skills; thorough understanding of corporate tire program
