Superior Metal Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance aspects in our 120,000 square foot paint and anodizing facility.

About the role

In this position, you will plan, execute, and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in methods, equipment, procedures, and working conditions. This role drives continuous improvement through plant operations and may lead others to maintain high morale.

Responsibilities

  • Balance safety, quality, cost, productivity, and positive results in all areas while prioritizing safety.
  • Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment and safety and health management program.
  • Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs needed and complete tasks or coordinate with contractors/vendors.
  • Operate power tools and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC control systems.
  • Perform welding on aluminum and steel.
  • Rebuild and troubleshoot pumps (centrifugal and diaphragm).
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with or without prints.
  • Perform daily breakdown repairs of equipment.
  • Prioritize work based on manufacturing production needs.
  • On-call for after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five plus years of experience with maintenance leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • Experience in an aluminum finishing environment highly desired.
  • Previous supervision experience required.
  • Proven knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance.
  • Willingness to be a hands-on leader.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive constant improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of overhead crane systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical AC and DC, single phase and 3 phase (480V, 277V, 240V, 120V, 24V, 12V).
  • Proper operation of cutting torch.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate and inspect machinery and metal pieces.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move objects over 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must detect slight differences in various finishes.
  • Communicate verbally with coworkers about safety, discrepancies, or other work issues.
  • Tolerate working in environments that may be hot or cold, loud, dusty, and exposed to fumes and solvents.

Pay

$75,000 – $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and knowledge.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday to Friday.
