Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager oversees all facilities for the Nation. This role coordinates both new and ongoing projects to ensure timely completion of all tasks. They act as a liaison between the Tribe and external entities such as general contractors, federal funding agencies, and the community.

This position may occasionally require working outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Manages and trains staff in areas including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, custodial work, and maintenance of tribal or office buildings.
• Coordinates new and ongoing projects to ensure timely completion.
• Acts as a liaison between the Tribe and external entities such as general contractors, federal funding agencies, and the community.
• Maintains and repairs tribal or office buildings as needed.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license free of occupational restrictions.
• Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier.
• 4 years of experience managing and training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, custodial work, and maintenance of tribal or other office buildings.
• Two-year Vocational Training or Apprenticeship Program Completion.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

• Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

• Ability to work flexible hours as required.
