About the Role

As the Maintenance Manager, you will supervise all maintenance and improvement activities related to equipment, facilities, and other assigned duties. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and productivity within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly trained and aware of SOPs, including sanitation, safety, and all operations.
  • Oversees the training of staff in the department, including on-the-job training, departmental training, and training with designated trainers; helps prepare training materials.
  • Manages all Maintenance staff, including issuing Corrective Action Reports.
  • Orders all departmental operating equipment and supplies through purchasing.
  • Attends necessary leadership meetings and participates in audit committees where required.
  • Maintains an organized, clean work area with an emphasis on safety and meets company standards.
  • Seeks out new ways to improve productivity and maintains excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effort.
  • Leads root cause analysis of failures and drives the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Originates, develops, and facilitates analysis methods for determining the reliability of components and equipment.
  • Provides leadership and technical support to cultivate a proactive maintenance department.
  • Utilizes CMMS software to identify trends, implement preventative maintenance programs, and track parts and inventory.
  • Designs, develops, and implements equipment changes to correct reliability, improve productivity, efficiencies, and increase quality part yield.
  • Attends meetings to drive immediate continuous improvement and compliance with productivity goals.
  • Works with outside contractors and facilities manager for various needs (e.g., air compressors, boiler and chiller vendors, lawn care, garage doors, electrical, HVAC).
  • Forklift certified and available by phone 24/7.
  • Performs all other duties as defined by the Director of Operations or as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have experience managing others.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to foster teamwork across departments.
  • Well-organized, able to work with deadlines under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adhere to scheduled work hours.
  • Must maintain proper hygiene and be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English.
  • Supervisory experience required; computer experience preferred.
  • Competent in CMMS Software.
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
