About the role
OXEA Corporation is a world leader in Oxo Chemicals, producing over 70 oxo intermediates and oxo derivatives for customers in various industries. The company has a participative management style and is seeking a leader to provide leadership, planning, coordination, development, and coaching of the multi-skilled, multi-disciplined Mechanical Reliability Teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 25-30 maintenance personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution of maintenance activities across the site.
- Serve as primary site contact for approximately 80 resident contract maintenance and construction services, ensuring safe execution, performance management, and cost control of contractor resources.
- Ensure maintenance activities are executed in compliance with applicable government regulations, industry standards, company policies, and site procedures.
- Lead the execution of site preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring maintenance activities are completed in accordance with Reliability strategies, asset plans, and operational priorities.
- Drive workforce capability through training, competency development, and effective allocation of maintenance resources aligned to site maintenance needs and operational priorities.
- Lead and reinforce a strong safety culture through visible leadership, field engagement, and reinforcement of safe work behaviors and practices.
- Participate in the site budgeting process to ensure maintenance and construction resource requirements are effectively planned and managed.
- Establish and monitor maintenance KPIs covering safety, cost, schedule compliance, execution quality, equipment availability, and productivity, while driving continuous improvement in maintenance work processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent maintenance leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or related technical functions within a chemical, petrochemical, refining, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience managing maintenance, operations, engineering, or technical personnel.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams including both supervisory and craft personnel.
- Experience managing contract maintenance and construction resources in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), mechanical integrity principles, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Strong leadership capability with proven ability to develop and lead high performing maintenance teams.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance work management systems, including planning, scheduling, and execution discipline (CMMS-based environments).
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and to drive safe, efficient, and structured maintenance execution in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Effective communicator with ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Experience supporting structured problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance work processes.
- Strong contractor management capability, including performance oversight and execution coordination.
