Maintenance Manager

Job Description: The Maintenance Manager leads maintenance across the mine’s mobile equipment, fixed plant, and electrical and instrumentation systems. This role is accountable for safe execution, equipment availability, maintenance planning, and cost control. During the concentrator restart, the Maintenance Manager will help prepare equipment, teams, and maintenance systems for commissioning and sustained operation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead, coach, and develop mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and maintenance planning personnelSet maintenance priorities with mine and processing operations, balancing production needs, equipment condition, and safety risksOversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for mobile equipment, crushing and grinding circuits, flotation equipment, SX/EW facilities, and supporting infrastructureBuild effective planning and scheduling practices, including work orders, shutdown plans, parts readiness, and backlog managementTrack equipment availability, reliability, maintenance costs, and recurring failures; lead root cause investigations and implement lasting corrective actionsSupport installation, equipment handover, commissioning, and startup of the restarted concentratorDevelop maintenance budgets, staffing plans, contractor scopes, and critical spare parts strategiesManage vendors and repair contractors, including rebuild quality, schedules, and performanceEnsure maintenance work follows site safety procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations. Lead incident reviews and follow through on corrective actionsPartner with operations and technical teams to improve equipment performance and establish practical, cost effective maintenance standards QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experienceAt least 10 years of progressive maintenance experience in mining or heavy industrial operations, including leadership of maintenance teamsExperience with both mobile mining equipment and fixed processing plant maintenanceStrong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance planning, and reliability practicesAbility to interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics and use them to guide troubleshooting and repairExperience managing budgets, contractors, and equipment rebuildsClear communication, sound judgment under pressure, and a demonstrated commitment to safe workExperience supporting a copper concentrator, plant commissioning or restart, and electrical and instrumentation maintenance in a mine setting is preferred.
