Maintenance Manager
Management$115k–$138k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with headings
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate. Preserve all substantive info.
We need to parse the description.
First paragraph: "We are a global leader in food & beverage ingredients..." That's about the company, maybe "About the role"? Actually "About the role" could be the position summary. The description includes "Position Summary ofi values in-person collaboration...". So we can put that under About the role
with paragraphs.
Then responsibilities: bullet list under "What You’ll Do - Position Responsibilities". We'll create Responsibilities
with - each.
Then requirements: "Experience You’ll Bring – Role Requirements". That includes High School diploma required, Bachelor's preferred, 5 years experience, driver's license, travel, cost-conscious, leadership, communication, proficiency with MS Office, MaintainX or another CMMS, ability to climb stairs, etc. Also "Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive..." maybe not needed. We'll put under
Requirements
(or Qualifications?). The instruction says we can have sections Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We need to decide what content goes where. Usually Requirements = education, experience, licences. Qualifications = maybe preferred? Skills = technical skills. We'll split.
We have: "High School diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering/production is preferred." That's education -> Requirements or Qualifications? Could be Requirements.
"Five (5) years of related maintenance and/or engineering experience in food, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing area is required." -> Requirements.
"Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required." -> Requirements.
"Ability and willingness to travel to other facilities on a limited basis to support the business and engineering/maintenance function." -> Requirements.
"Candidate should be cost-conscious and able to critically analyze new and existing designs to generate cost reductions." -> Skills? maybe Qualifications.
"Effective leadership and facilitator abilities within a team is required." -> Skills.
"Should have the ability to influence and manage other internal customers and external suppliers/contractors to ensure success of maintenance department is required." -> Skills.
"Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical disciplines, production personnel and executives, both internal and external is required." -> Skills.
"Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel is required, MaintainX or another CMMS program and plus Ability to perform and comprehend verbal and written communication in English is required." -> Skills (software).
"Required to climb stairs and ladders; required to conduct work at heights." -> Requirements (physical).
"Must be able to develop innovative and practical design solutions to technical problems." -> Skills.
We also have "Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and how to support food, food safety, and compliance standards while conducting maintenance operations." That's under earlier paragraph before "What You’ll Do". That could be Qualifications.
"Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) use and analyzing reports to improve maintenance operations." -> Skills.
"The candidate should have competence in a broad variety of maintenance skills, such as knowledge of welding, mechanical systems, electrical systems, machine shop practices, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), buildings and grounds maintenance, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), boilers/steam systems, fabrication, etc." -> Skills.
Thus we can have sections: About the role (position summary), Responsibilities, Requirements (education, experience, license, travel, physical), Qualifications (knowledge of manufacturing processes, food safety, compliance, CMMS experience), Skills (technical skills list, leadership, communication, cost-conscious, etc). Benefits and Pay: we have benefits description and pay range. So we need Benefits and Pay sections. Schedule: not mentioned besides "specific work schedule onsite" but no details; we should not create Schedule unless actual schedule info. The posting says "employees are expected to work their specific work schedule onsite." No specifics, so we should not create Schedule section.
Thus output HTML with sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay.
We must not include filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to preserve all substantive info. Let's extract.
About the role: combine the company description and position summary.
Company description: "We are a global leader in food & beverage ingredients. Pioneers at heart, we operate at the forefront of consumer trends to provide food & beverage manufacturers with products and ingredients that will delight their consumers. Position Summary: "ofi values in-person collaboration with colleagues – this is a fully onsite position where employees are expected to work their specific work schedule onsite. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management of the maintenance for the Deming, NM facility. The functional responsibilities include creating safe work practices, Engineering projects execution, Controls Systems, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) standards, and also communicating with other departments to assure proper support. This position will directly manage and oversee the work of the Maintenance Supervisor, Controls Team, Maintenance Planner and the Maintenance Technicians. The position will create detailed execution plans for maintenance and implement the plans within the maintenance budgets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing maintenance and engineering functions in a food processing or related industry. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and how to support food, food safety, and compliance standards while conducting maintenance operations. Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) use and analyzing reports to improve maintenance operations. The candidate should have competence in a broad variety of maintenance skills, such as knowledge of welding, mechanical systems, electrical systems, machine shop practices, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), buildings and grounds maintenance, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), boilers/steam systems, fabrication, etc."
We could split: About the role includes company description and maybe high-level summary. But we have also Qualifications for knowledge etc. To avoid duplication, we should keep the company description under About the role, and the position summary (reporting, responsibilities high-level) maybe also under About the role. However the responsibilities detailed list is under Responsibilities section. So we can put the high-level summary (reporting to Plant Manager, managing maintenance for Deming NM facility, functional responsibilities include creating safe work practices, etc.) under About the role. Then the detailed bullet list under Responsibilities.
Thus we need to extract the high-level summary: "Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management of the maintenance for the Deming, NM facility. The Maintenance Manager will have daily interaction with all departments throughout the organization. In addition, this position has the responsibilities for leading the operations of the equipment PM program, maintaining schedules, quality of work, planning task assignments, training, employee selection and development, including progressive discipline. The position will create detailed execution plans for maintenance and implement the plans within the maintenance budgets."
That seems like responsibilities but it's more overview; but we can still put under About the role. However the instruction says use for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, etc. So we can put the company description under About the role, and then the responsibilities list under Responsibilities. The overview could be part of About the role as well. To avoid duplication, we can keep the overview under About the role and the bullet list under Responsibilities.
