Maintenance Manager

About the role

At Niagara, we're seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee maintenance activities, manage a skilled team, and contribute to the efficient operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance of injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment.
• Directs and monitors preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities.
• Schedules and coordinates preventative maintenance activities with the Production Manager.
• Builds and manages a world-class mechanical and preventative maintenance team.
• Hires, trains, coaches, and reviews the performance of employees.
• Works with Human Resources for employee discipline, terminations, and recruitment.
• Oversees safety team activities and enforces safety requirements.
• Maintains time and maintenance records.
• Develops and justifies capital equipment for machine tools and process technology.
• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
• Interfaces with others in the organization to meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in field or similar manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the position.
• Minimum 4 years of experience managing people and projects.

Competencies

• Handles basic issues and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
• Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
