About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager. This position is based at our office in Shelbyville, TN.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Strategy Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, fostering an environment of professional growth, efficiency, and collaboration. Ensure the team is highly skilled, motivated, and equipped to meet operational demands.
  • Operational Support and Improvement: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and address equipment and facility-related challenges. Drive initiatives that reduce downtime, improve productivity, and support Marelli’s commitment to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Budget Management and Cost Control: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, closely monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and proactive risk management among the maintenance team.
  • Create strategies to minimize plant downtime as much as possible and meet optimal response times in the required arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is required. Additional qualifications in business management or related disciplines are a plus.
  • Minimum Experience: 8 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role. Experience in the automotive sector is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: Certifications in Maintenance Management, Reliability Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related fields are advantageous. Training certifications in health and safety standards relevant to the manufacturing industry are preferred.

  • Cost-Efficiency: Deliver measurable reductions in maintenance costs through strategic planning, efficient resource allocation, and the implementation of cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Team Development and Engagement: Cultivate a high-performing, engaged maintenance team recognized for their expertise, innovation, and commitment to maintaining Marelli’s operational excellence.
