Maintenance Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Fairless Hills Terminal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the maintenance team has required tools, parts, and resources to perform their job effectively and safely
• Support the Operations Manager when implementing systems, schedules, and procedures, and communicate these initiatives to the maintenance team
• Bolster morale on the maintenance team by providing comprehensive training and recognizing individual and team accomplishments
• Ensure all individuals receive compliance training
• Develop and implement safety meetings for maintenance and actively participate in facility safety drills
• Oversee all contractor work on site to ensure contractors comply with facility standards and procedures
• Maintain diligence in paperwork and records while following written procedures
• Inspect completed jobs for quality assurance
• Respond to unplanned operational and maintenance events
• Plan and budget maintenance activities to work within the O&M monthly budget
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
• Diagnose operational problems and recommend corrective action
• Work with the management team to establish goals, priorities, and expectations, and help develop action plans and strategies for accomplishing them
• Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program
• Perform other duties as required by Management

Requirements

• 10 years of management experience with fleet construction equipment, cranes, heavy-duty trucks, or mining equipment, including relevant equipment OEM in application or product support
• Comparable work experience with relevant equipment OEM in application or product support
• Diploma or Certificate of Completion from an accredited Vocational/Trade School for automotive, truck, diesel engine, or heavy equipment maintenance repair overhaul (MRO)
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card)

Physical Demands

• Must be able to physically inspect heavy mobile equipment and cranes, which may require climbing and crawling as needed

Working Conditions

• Travel could involve 50% or more as required, including out-of-town travel with overnight stays for extended periods
• Occasional weekend work required
• Will perform cross-functional projects and contribute to overall team goals and direction of the Terminals Asset Group
• Required to carry a cell phone and/or pager and respond as needed during working and non-working hours
• Extended work hours in cases of emergencies
• May be required to work alone (unsupervised)
• Will be required to work outside in all weather conditions
