Primary Responsibilities
- Hands on leadership of 5+ mechanics supporting 75 person facility equipped with multiple types of machinery
- Directs and assists team members with electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
- Maintains inventory and oversees purchases of parts
- Establishes and adjusts work procedures and schedules to meet company demand
- Motivate and implement safety procedures, recognition, and accountability
- Collaborate with departmental managers to meet plant goals
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Collaborates on the root cause analysis of equipment failures and implements fixes
- Coordinates preventative maintenance with the production planning staff
- Reviews and prioritizes maintenance requests based on urgency and availability of resources
- Inspects equipment regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs
- Maintains records and documentation related to equipment and workforce
- Manages the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Associates preferred
- Tech and mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience: General computer experience; organizational skills
- 5+ years supervising others successfully
- Motivated team player capable of meeting tight deadlines
