ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and coordinate all maintenance staff activities for mechanical and electrical repair of equipment to support plant performance goals while minimizing downtime, maximizing output, efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain plant safety standards and enforce all safety policies.
  • Work with plant management team to plan preventative maintenance programs and schedule machine overhauls in coordination with operating activities.
  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Responsible for all supervisory tasks for the maintenance department, including interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, discipline, training and policy enforcement.
  • Work with suppliers, contractors and vendors to ensure problems are resolved quickly and with minimal downtime.
  • Work with plant management team to develop, coordinate and oversee various capital and process improvement projects.
  • Prepare and manage annual department budget.
  • Oversee the Facility Maintenance department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical), 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, 5 years of machine maintenance experience, 3 or more years supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of PMC, Bobst and Man Roland equipment helpful.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
