Maintenance Manager
About the role
The Maintenance Manager leads facility maintenance, providing both reactive and proactive multi-skilled service on all equipment and facility infrastructure. This role involves managing direct reports, budgetary and cost reporting, planning, scheduling, and overseeing work completion to increase site operational effectiveness and reduce downtime. The manager will drive Key Performance Indicators, ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, establish technical best practices, and mentor the Maintenance Department. Additionally, this role focuses on continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Communicate continuously and work harmoniously with supervisors in other departments and/or shifts to ensure effective resource deployment.
- Handle disciplinary matters that may arise with direct reports.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders as necessary.
- Monitor all Hörmann LLC facility systems to ensure functionality.
- Apply strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities for the facility.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with and promote a safe work environment.
- Apply thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment to devise and implement improvements.
- Provide management personnel with data-driven production updates through reports and other performance data.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (associate or higher) in a technical field with at least five years of progressive manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities, or 10+ years of supervisory responsibilities and project management experience.
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Experience in reporting metrics.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills.
- Results-driven approach.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Additional Information
