What We Are Looking For
Grammer is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team in Shannon, MS. The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a team environment and be ready to make positive changes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide Preventative Maintenance for facilities and production equipment
- Ensure all maintenance procedures and activities adhere to quality standards and environmental regulations
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for maintenance materials, utilities, and services
- Collaborate with the health and safety officer to ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, and all equipment and machinery meet safety standards
- Regularly review and update maintenance protocols and procedures to improve efficiency
- Participate in budget development and management for the maintenance department
- Coordinate with the human resources department for recruitment, training, and development of maintenance staff
- Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability initiatives within the facility
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is well-organized and accessible
- Regularly communicate with senior management on maintenance planning and ongoing activities
- Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed
- Support project launch strategy in the fast-paced automotive industry
- Provide support for all pre-production builds requiring components and/or services from the manufacturing site
- Review and provide input on new equipment
- Uphold building, grounds, and production equipment
- Support schedule mold changes as required by production
- Coordinate training and skill improvements for the maintenance team
- Achieve project expectations and requirements for all elements of PPAP, IATF 16949 and other elements relating to product launch
- Overall housekeeping of maintenance and production areas
- Efficient supply and distribution of utilities including water, steam, electricity, natural gas, compressed air and waste disposal
- Identify and drive Continuous Improvements projects with supporting data in order to ensure effective and sustainable benefits
- Understand and properly model adherence to safety policies and proper PPE usage
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during facility maintenance installation and upgrades
- Participation and any quality issues or concerns, 8D’s, FMEA’s
- Additional duties may apply depending on the facilities' needs and requirements
What You Will Bring Along
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's in related field preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, repair work, and problem solving
- Self-motivated and willing to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability and willingness to take on challenges in all aspects of a Molding and Assemblies operation, such as modular workstations, with IMM, PIDs, PLCs, and HMIs
- Experience and strong understanding of mechanical, electrical (high and low voltage controls), pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Experience in safety interlock, safety systems, and OSHA requirements
- Proven ability to motivate, manage, and mentor the members of a team
- Ability to identify team member skill gaps, ensure adequate training, facilitate development opportunities for the betterment of the team members, the team, and Grammer
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Proactive and strategic in achieving and maintaining minimum unplanned downtime
- Understanding and practices the concepts around TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Record keeping of Maintenance Records (CMMS)
- Budget and planning experience
- IATF 16949 awareness
- ISO 14001 orientation/awareness training
- CAD Software experience would be helpful
- Microsoft Office proficiency, especially with Excel
